Description

The
crew leader supervises specific construction tasks being performed each
day.  The crew leader must be skilled in
one or more of the task needed to construct a house such as shingling, siding,
sheet rocking, etc. He/she must have leadership experience, the ability to
train skills and provide a positive work environment on the job site.

Expected
Commitment

One
day. Construction Crew Leaders are needed for each scheduled construction day. Need
is for the duration of the build schedule and for construction skill.

Responsibilities

1. Provide on-the-job training and supervision
   for semi-skilled and unskilled volunteers.
2. Ensures
   proper tools are available for specific task.
3. Maintains
   safety by assuring workers have reviewed the on-site safety guidelines and the
   proper use of tools, equipment and protective measures.
4. Paces
   workers, watching for heat/exposure problems, etc.
5. Ensures
   all tasks are performed to quality standards as outlined by Construction
   Company and Construction Coordinator and the work meets all local and state
   building codes and design specifications.
