Examples of Skilled Volunteers
Examples
of Unskilled Construction Volunteer
Unskilled
construction volunteers are able to work at almost every phase of
construction. There will be a
Construction Crew Leader who will instruct and support all unskilled
construction volunteers.
Calls
for all types of volunteer will be in 3-6 week segments and will be noted on
the House of Gratitude Website under Volunteer Information, through church
announcements, bulletin notes and through other avenues of communication as
available.
You
may have some skill but do not feel comfortable in leading or working
independently totally. The Construction
Crew Leader will assist you and allow you to feel comfortable working on site.
Examples may
include assisting with:
Pouring
cement walls, footings, basement & garage
Framing
Building
first& second floor deck
Roof

Decking
Installing
windows, doors, soffits & facia
Shingling

There
are sure to be many more opportunities for the unskilled construction volunteer
than listed. Each aspect of the
construction schedule will need many such volunteers.
Thank
you for your interest and willingness to complete this project.
